Developer Sr - Gateway / Price Feed
Responsibilities:
-Initially responsibilities include development of Exchange Connectivity (price feeds/gateways).
-Exchange Connectivity includes: Order Entry and Quote Consumption. Once connection to exchange is made systems are in place to a) submit orders on behalf of trading clients b) to read quotes from exchange and forward to trading clients. The company is adding fixed income, FX and international trading.
-Advancement within group is through gaining technical knowledge of particular markets and designing/writing code to exploit the market. Individuals have the opportunity to grow into Market Architect (for example, US Equities Architect), if they choose. This position takes technical ownership of a particular market (usually more than one). If you choose to stay purely technical as a coder, growth would be in developing further expertise in areas such as high performance computing, performance tuning, etc.
Qualifications:
-Expert in C/C++ coding and design patterns.
-Experience with high performance, i.e., low latency coding within a trading environment.
-Fully understands threading issues and use.
-Expert with C++ templates including the Standard Template Library (STL).
-Working knowledge of TCP/IP and UDP.
-Gateway and/or price feed experience preferred.
-Solid coding skills, 5 years plus desired.
